We are HIRING!
Current Roles available.
Congleton Garden Machinery is a well established and expanding local business based in Congleton. Started in 1989, CGM has grown from a family run, small shop to being award winning, internationally recognised experts in the fields of horticultural and forestry machinery as well as within the ATV (All Terrain vehicles) industry.
The Office Administrator will coordinate the administration elements of the businesses and day to day operations. This will include database management, purchase ledger reconciliation, recording and keeping accurate stock lists, mail shots, warranty and statistical administration. The role requires a good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. You will be also answering the phone and dealing with members of the public online, by phone and face to face.
You may already have an interest or experience in horticultural and gardening machinery, or you’ll be the sort of person who learns quickly, who needs to understand the whole picture and how what you do fits into the larger business aims and goals. You’ll be able to work quickly, juggle several tasks at the same time and you’ll thrive in a busy and varied working environment. You are likely to have worked in customer services or administration before, in a busy and challenging role.
We are a small and close team, so you’ll be great with people, like working in a team and enjoy helping customers, whether that is over the phone, via the internet or face to face in the showroom. You’ll be willing to roll your sleeves up and join in and you won’t need to be asked, you are the type of person who can see what needs doing and you’ll just get on with it.
You’ll need to be organised and thorough, you’ll like being busy, setting yourself challenges, solving problems and coming up with ideas and suggestions on how to simplify and make processes more efficient. You’ll be looking for a company where you can have a career, not just a job, you’ll want to come and make a mark, make a difference, grow with us as we expand.
The activities and responsibilities in this job will offer job satisfaction for those individuals who like a varied and busy working environment, with a small, friendly team in a customer orientated, rapidly expanding local business where there is opportunity to do more than a 9 to 5 job and really be able to add your ideas and make a difference in order to grow with the business.
