1./ ENGINEER

As an established family business with over 35 years trading experience in the Garden Machinery Business and an extensive customer base, we are looking for an engineer to join our team and help with the continued growth of our business. They will play a major part in the re configuration of our engineering department, helping with the design and development of our new workshop, controlling the best layout for workshop efficiency and controlling the output of serviced and repaired machines to the highest possible standard. This is an opportunity for engineers who want to progress with their careers, learn new skills through advanced training courses and play a significant part in continuing to take the business forward in a profitable manner, from which they will benefit significantly. PREREQUISITES

· Experience in engineering in the field of either garden machinery, plant, quad bikes or all three.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

To effectively manage work in progress in a timely manner ensuring quoted completion dates are met

· To repair, refurbish and service equipment, tools, and machinery.

· To carry out regular maintenance as per check lists on a wide variety of machines.

· To diagnosing faults, assessing root cause of failure and repairing as necessary.

· To work with the Parts Department in identifying parts correctly

· To Build up equipment including Garden Machinery, Compact tractors, ATVs and Quads, completing pre delivery inspections and associated paperwork.

· To communicate estimated completion dates and prices where necessary for all workshop jobs.

· To support location of machinery and tools in workshop, in-line with CGM safety standards.

To maintain the workshop to a very high standard of cleanliness and efficiency

To build on workshop efficiency and output through creative thinking

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· To work to Health and Safety standards at all times

· To be willing to work to CGM work Standards and see jobs through to the end.

· To provide the best in customer service with attention to detail

· To be creative and inspirational in proposing new ideas for workshop development

· To be positive and self-motivated and driven to achieving CGM Targets.

Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally if required

Additional attributes of benefit but not essential

· Experience from automobile, caravan, motorhome, motorcycle or quad industry

· Fork-lift licence

Experience with hydraulics

Experience in navigating circuit diagrams

PREP TECHNICIAN

Are you a tinkerer? “a person who enjoys fixing and experimenting with machines and their parts”

Maybe you have always tinkered with engines, stripped them down and re-built them, love getting your hands dirty and are looking for a new challenge then this could be the job for you!

We are a well-established family business which was founded in 1989 and with an increase in business we are looking at a re configuration of our engineering department. A department who work on a wide range of products from mini diggers, ATV’s, Quads, handheld garden machinery, compact tractors, pedestrian lawn mowers to lawn tractors and much, much, more. We are looking for someone who will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used machines. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to a high standard, within manufacturer guidelines and be completed within agreed time frames.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

To build up machines and equipment ready for customers and the showroom. Lawnmowers, lawn tractors, ATVs and Quads.
To complete pre delivery inspections on machines and complete the associated paperwork and checklists.
To request parts from the Parts Department where needed
To carry out regular maintenance (checking fluids, oil changes, etc) on machines
To communicate estimated completion dates for all jobs.
To support location of machinery and tools in workshop, in-line with CGM safety standards.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

To work to Health and Safety standards at all times
To be willing to work to CGM work Standards and see jobs through to the end.
To provide excellent customer service.
To be willing to propose ideas for improvements in the workshop ideas.
To be positive and self-motivated and driven to achieving CGM Targets.

PREFERABLE BUT NOT REQUIRED

Previous experience in a similar role within the farming, garden, automobile or quad industry
Fork-lift licence
