BCS Flail Mower

This powerful flail mower will cut and mulch the toughest vegetation in a single pass, leaving a neat finish. It outperforms all others we have used and is one of our favourite attachments.

The flail mower is available in two cutting widths: 65cm (25”) and 85cm (33”). It is ideal for use in heavily overgrown areas where other mowers simply can’t cope, easily tackling the worst possible cutting conditions.

The flail deck features heavy duty "Y" shaped free-swinging blades (28 on the 65cm model and 36 on the 85cm) which are fitted to a horizontal roller and arranged in a staggered, or overlapping, layout to provide coverage.

The flail mower works at a high cutting speed so the blades rotate fast to cut, mulch, and leave a fantastic finish.

The cutting height can be adjusted through 5 positions from 1cm (½”) to 6cm (2½”) allowing it to tackle all sorts of ground conditions and heights of vegetation.

Individually hinged front protection flaps and a wide open front help to ensure that material reaches the blades, whilst a full width steel roller at the rear of the mower helps to prevent unnecessary scalping of the ground.

The flail mower is very efficient and will cut vegetation faster and more effectively than a rotary or mulching mower, which has helped to make it our best selling grass cutter.

What are the minimum power unit requirements?
8.4hp petrol or 6.1hp diesel engine.
Three working speeds.
Locking differential.
4.00 x 10 agricultural wheels.

Are any couplers or toolbars needed?
If the power unit has the Implement Quick Coupling fitted then an Additional Coupler will be required.

Please note: The BCS 660HY and 750 power units have their own specific coupler.

Is there anything else required?
If the machine is being used on a slope then twin wheels or steel bank wheels may be beneficial for improved traction and stability.
